My first post and then some!! :)

Well Hello Ya'll! Pull up a seat and let me get started on my first of many posts (I hope)!

I created this blog wayyyyy back on June 15,2013, and as you can see it sat, empty and lonely until almost 3 months later. Well, it's about darn time I put my first post up :) First, a little explaining (i.e. the excuses!) for the delay, but I promise they are good ones! We moved back in the middle of May to our new home. Since then we have been busy, and I mean busy, remodeling almost everything! We started outside and built a screened in back porch, and of course a 16 x 20 quilting/craft building, all for me,me, re-done the fire pit area, planted a ton of bulbs and flowers, and redone the girls and one of our sons bedrooms (I will have to post pics). In between enjoying the summer and the beautiful inground pool and hot tub that came with the house. Currently working on the kids bathroom and mini hallway, and have alot more rooms to go! It seems like this will never get done, but I dream of the day that it will be :)

Speaking of which I am showing you a picture so far of the bathroom that we are working on. The color is showing up a bit darker than it is in real life. It's called Beach Glass!

We have alot more to go to make it look finished and up to par, but will keep you updated. I plan on distressing the cabinet that was in there and is currently sitting in the living room. I distressed my first piece about a month and a half ago and that was my drab sewing desk. It is drab no more!!!! WE have to pick out a counter top and a bowl sink, and get the moldings in there.

I received my new JUKI in the mail yesterday that I ordered and I just had to try it out! Here is some blocks I made on it, and it was such a splendid relief to finally sew something on a sewing machine! I hadn't sewed anything quilty since a few months before we moved, probably back in Feb.. Here is some pics of what I managed to get sewn.

I have got my sewing room only halfway straighten out, and I have a good ways to go. Any takers on helping out??? LOL!!

Since I haven't been able to quilt or sew, I have been stitching alot more in my down time (mainly late of a night). Here is something I started tonight. I won this on ebay - I love me some ebay! - and since it is Halloween themed I thought I would get started on it so I can display it next month.

I wanted to share a pic with you of my front porch, as this is how I started my day today, taking a few relaxing minutes for myself before starting my day. This was taken right after we moved down here as I find it so relaxing out there in the swing. Since then I have added some ferns, and 3 rockers, and I sit in those sometimes, but I still prefer the swing over them. It's so peaceful out there!
